Scenic Train (Bar - Belgrade)

Generally considered one of the most scenic railways in Europe. It connects the coast (Bar) to the capital (Podgorica) and continues north to Kolašin and Belgrade.

  • Mala Rijeka Viaduct: One of the highest railway bridges in the world (200m).
  • Recommendation: Take the day train for views.
  • Cost: Extremely cheap (~€2.50 Podgorica to Bar).

Border Crossings

Croatia (Debeli Brijeg)

Main crossing near Herceg Novi. Can have 2-3 hour queues in July/August.

Near Ulcinj. Joint border crossing (only stop once). Generally faster.

Roads can be narrower. Beautiful drive towards Trebinje.
